The shape of the mountain here is similar to the hump of a bull, due to which this area is known as Bailadila. In 1966, NMDC had established Akash Nagar on top of the mountain in Bacheli town and Kailash Nagar on top of the mountain in Kirandul for the accommodation of the employees. These were the first hill stations of Bastar. Wather of these hill stations is very pleasant, it is a different experience to spend time here. The total distance from Bacheli to Akash Nagar situated on the mountain is 30 kms. One gets highly thrilled while going through the spiraling gorges of 30 kms. On the one hand, there are beautiful and enchanting scenes and on the other side there are dangerous slopes and ditches, both of these scenes evoke a mixed sense of fear and thrill. A light splash of water falling on the body doubles the happiness.
